Amazing food and service at this restaurant. Had a catering order for an event, and the experience was flawless. Ryan the manager went above and beyond to help me.
Thanks,

Degrees Restaurant is one of three main restaurants in the hidden third level of the University Centre, at the University of Manitoba.
Degrees offers full meal choices that are on the healthier and local side of things. I had the breakfast club, part of the all day breakfast menu they have here. However, I replaced the bacon with sausage, as I prefer sausage over bacon.
The food took a long time to come, which was a bit concerning in my part cause I only had 45 minutes to dine. Regardless it did come, and I got exactly what I asked for. The food was okay for campus quality, but it was obviously nowhere near the quality of, say, Stella's. For $8.50 plus tax it was acceptable, but definitely not a place for budget food (there's the main floor food court for that).
I'll likely only return if I'm dining with friends. This wouldn't be a place I go by myself. -

Favourite on campus coffee. If you bring your own mug it was only 1.25. And since I generally don't eat carbs/sugars/bread, Degrees is my only option to eat on campus because they sell scrambled eggs as a dish.

Nice casual cafe style eatery. Great for a quick bit or to hand for studying. In the evenings this place is quite popular among students for casual drinks. Degrees has a full menu, and pretty decent food. Nothing that will blow you away though. My brie spinach salad was simple and cheap ($7). And had brie in it.
The coffee though is where Degrees excels. Organic, fair trade if you care about that. For me, this is just an indication of the quality. A mug is only $1.5 (or $1.25, I forget). For that price you might as well get two.
The staff a also friendly. The space is open and bright. -

I've been eating at Degrees for years always hoping it will get better, nothing changes. Tables sometimes dirty and sticky like in cheap bars, you will never find a single napkin on the table, it is too expensive and luxury for them. The best meal you can eat here is Double beef burger, everything else does not deserve attention. You can have nice coffee and beer here, you would not be disappointed, really "nice" for the restaurant. Prices are too high for this quality of food.
